The Panda Passage at The Calgary Zoo

The Panda Passage at the Calgary Zoo welcomes adult pandas Er Shun and Da Mao and cubs Jia Panpan and Jia Yueyue on May 7, 2018.

 

During the day pandas eat about 40 kg of bamboo, then after their meal they (of course) need a little nap during the day. Something to keep in mind before you visit the Calgary Zoo for the best times to see these adorable new friends.


There are only about 1,800 pandas in the wild. Trish Exton-Parder with The Calgary Zoo says, "They were endangered for a number of years, but in 2016 they were downlisted from endangered to vulnerable." She explains more HERE
